Who We Are
Miriam Cannon opened her first Nursery in 1993, then, with fellow Director Anne Cannon, opened a second, Nursery Times at the Park, in Hamilton in 2004. Following their success, Miriam returned to her roots in Clydebank and, with Anne, opened Nursery Times by the River in 2010.

The Nursery is purpose built and opened in 2010.  We care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years and are registered with the Care Inspectorate to care for up to 87 children from 7.45am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.  We have earned an outstanding reputation in the area for the provision of individualised and high quality care and support for children in each age group. We have four bright, airy and spacious rooms for children to explore as they progress through the Nursery.

We are located in the Change House building on Cable Road near the Royal Jubilee Hospital and conveniently located between Dalmuir & Clydebank railway station which are both approx. 10 minutes walk away.

The learning environment is light, spacious and child centred. We have four playrooms and 2 soft surfaced outdoor play areas. The playrooms are carefully planned and extensively resourced to further children’s learning and development.

Nursery Times is an established and trusted centre for early education with a staff team that are passionate about the early years and committed to providing a safe, nurturing learning environment for children to flourish.

We have earned an outstanding reputation in the area for the provision of individualised and high quality care and support for children. Many of our prospective parents who visit have been recommended the nursery from friends, family and colleagues.

We have forged excellent links within the local community, particularly with Clydebank College.  Staff and students alike take advantage of the high quality service we provide near to their place of work and study.  We also work closely with the Golden Jubilee Hospital and provide childcare for many staff. The children at the Nursery often send artwork to the hospital for the patients and use the hospital grounds for Nursery Fun Days. As the area is rich and diverse, we are proud to have families from a number of backgrounds and from all across the West of Scotland.  We are within walking distance from Clydebank Shopping Centre, Clydebank College and The Golden Jubilee Hospital. We also have excellent transport links to Glasgow City Centre making us accessible for many families out with the immediate area.
