In CradleDays we follow individual the routines of each of our children. Staff are highly responsive to the children’s needs. In the morning the children can get a choice of cereal such as Weetabix and porridge) or parents/carers can provide their own breakfast. The nursery also provides toast and fresh fruit for a morning snack at around 9.45am, however this can be given earlier or later to suit children’s individual routines. Most of the children get their lunch around 12.15/12.30pm, however again some get their lunch a little later. At around 2.30pm we offer an afternoon snack and if parents/carers wish to provide a dinner this can be given around 4.30pm. We can provide alternatives or blend/mash lunches and snacks to suit younger babies who are weaning and we endeavor to accommodate allergies and dietary requirements as much as possible. Bottles are prepared and given to fit in with each child’s individual routine or as and when required. The children can sleep responsively when tired in the cots or coracles. This would all be discussed during your child’s care plan prior to your child settling into the nursery.
In CradleDays staff interact with the children and provide play and learning experiences responsively. We plan spaces, experiences, and opportunities to meet the children’s current interests and development needs. The children will participate in a variety of experiences such as singing, stories, rhyme time, creative and sensory play. We also offer a variety of natural and heuristic play resources to encourage investigation, curiosity, and exploration.
